With the amount of quality tasting rooms, it’s hard to have a favourite Brewery out here on the Sunshine Coast but if hard pressed to pick, I think I would have to choose Townsite Brewing in Powell River.
Their beers burst with flavour, without taking your head off with hops.
My go-to beer of the summer last year was the ‘Mystery Reef, Hazy IPA’ but I also imbibed a fair amount of this month’s feature beer and would recommend any of their creations in heartbeat.
I had the good fortune to take a group up to Powell River through our Package Tour with ‘Sunshine Coast Air’ called Flights to Flights, Ale & Air. Typically, the tour includes three tasting room stops, lunch and flight over Sechelt Inlet – but we have always offered the trip up to Powell River’s Townsite Brewing so it was amazing to finally share the day-trip with an uber zealous group who, by the way, was “blown away by the experience.”
