Art Workshops

We have partnered with many of the Coast’s artists to offer you a variety of art workshops. Local artists will work with you to teach and showcase their craft. Classes range from painting and ceramics to glassblowing and much more. You don’t want to miss this unique opportunity.

We understand that you may be a skilled artist or an intermediate hobbyist, or perhaps you are a beginner hoping to learn some new skills. The good news is that we have partnered with many different artists and have programs of all shapes and sizes.

You may choose a single workshop and spend the rest of your day exploring the region, or we can combine a workshop with one of our other offerings such as an art tour or brewery tour and really maximize your time on the Coast with one of our local guides. Out of all of the options available, previous participants have gravitated to the combined day and loved having Sunshine Coast Art Tours’ local experts show them the hidden gems of the region.

We can enrol you in pre-set workshops, or we can arrange private teachings. Perhaps you're a larger group or a school, or maybe you’re a creative single participant—everything can be tailored to your needs.

Glass Blowing Workshop with Chris Motloch:

10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.: Pickup at Langdale Ferry Terminal
11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.: Visit Gibsons Landing (historical commentary)
11:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.: Chocolate shop
11:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.: Travel to Coast Raven Native Art in Davis Bay
12:15 p.m. – 12:45 p.m.: Visit Coast Raven Native Art
12:45 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Travel to Molten Spirit Glass in Roberts Creek
1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.: Enjoy a champagne and charcuterie board luncheon
1:45 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Begin your ‘Glass Class’ taught by Chris Motloch
3:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Travel to Marleen Vermeulen’s studio in Gibsons
4:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: Visit Marleen’s studio
4:30 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.: Travel to The Kube Studio and Gallery\
4:45 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.: Visit Kube Studios
5:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.: Load and travel to Langdale Ferry Terminal for a 5:55 p.m. departure
