Corporate Team Building workshop
Using the natural elements found in and around the ‘this is it.’ Design Studio on BC’s Sunshine Coast. Robert Studer and Douglas Bevans facilitate team building workshops that explore the art of metal works through collaborative design.
Team Goal:
To effectively collaborate to create a large metal mandala.

Method:
In the comfort of Robert’s large studio in Roberts Creek, the group will start with a few warm up exercises then are invited to explore drawing in sand; which offers the discovery of texture and pattern.

The team’s collaborative and free expressions fuel the creative process and result in a grand unified design.
This final mold is then positioned and readied for the kiln.
Once there, the aluminum will liquify and take the team’s desired shape.
This is one of the many creative obstacles the team will overcome to achieve their goal over the course of the day.

Sample Schedule of Activities:
12:25pm – 12:30pm: Meet Sunshine Coast Art Tours at your location
12:30pm – 1:00pm: Travel to ‘this is it.’ studio in Roberts Creek
1:00pm – 1:30pm: Introduction to Robert Studer and a welcome Tea Ceremony
1:30pm – 3:30pm: ‘Connectivity Through Creation’ Workshop
3:30pm – 4:30pm: Waterfall Hike (while kiln is heating art work)
4:30pm – 5:00pm: Final touches to art piece (sanding patina, etc.)
5:00pm – 5:20pm: Load and drive direct to dinner in Sechelt
